Like most writers probably are, I’m enthusiastic to meet people interested in hearing the stories I’ve written. Whether it’s in a bookshop, a café or a classroom, I relish the opportunity to meet my readers up close. For me, readings are like small expeditions or guided tours – even if one is familiar with the story or the destination, going there with someone visiting for the first time is always different and exciting, there’s always something new to be discovered for everyone.
